One of the most beautiful things is when we own it.
- Owning our story.
- Owning our failures.
- Owning our successes.
- Owning our talents and what we’re not good at.
- Owning who we are.
- Owning the truth and stepping into confidence and using for good.
You have everything you need, all you have to do is own it. We sell ourselves short, thinking we’re too inexperienced, not good enough, our products/services aren’t worth it. But, most of the time it’s not true. We have to own the truth. Don’t be afraid to step into that. When I’m owning what I do and who I am and walk in so much more confidence even if I have no idea what I am doing. I may be really bad at something, but if I own it I can actually figure out how to get better or find someone who is skilled in that area.
I’ve been reading this book called Love Does by Bob Goff. I can’t stop taking notes and reading as though Bob and I are friends – good books and great authors have a way of doing that – but, there was a quote I loved that said “Something happens when you feel ownership. You no longer acts like a spectator or consumer, because you’re an owner. Faith (or anything) is at its best when it’s that way too. It’s best lived when it’s owned.” We’re proud of what we own and we are able to actually live it out. Everyday I try to walk in owning it. Owning myself and what I’m doing. Granted it doesn’t always happen and lies creep in like nobody’s business, but it’s always a good way to step into each day to live life fully. I hope you’re able to walk in that this week, walking in a humble confidence, and owning it.
